KINGSLEY ADAMS, 30s, is moving down in the world. His manager won’t return his phone calls. His new apartment is a dump with dodgy neighbours and his inspiration has dried up. At least Kingsley has his faithful Alsatian PEPPER. But what the hell is making the scrabbling and growling noises he can hear in his new home?
Whatever it is, it starts communicating with Kingsley with crude drawings scratched into his floor. He soon realises if he leaves a corpse that matches the creature’s last scrawling, he gets a reward; he’s able to hear a brilliant and complete version of a song he’s been trying to write. Dead rodents are exchanged for musical compositions.
A cat. Kingsley’s not the type of guy that’s comfortable killing a tabby but his hunger for success demands at least one more song. The tunes are sounding incredible. The next request: a dog. It’s a line Kingsley is not willing to cross. Or is it? An enthusiastic call from Kingsley’s manager confirms how exceptional his new songs are...... but ultimately Kingsley’s not willing to feed his sinister muse anymore. He abandons the apartment and his dreams of fame and success. But Kingsley's about to learn just because he wont cross that line, doesn't mean no one else will....
